Thoughts on Being You-Centered

Loving people is both draining and rewarding, it’s true.

it’s like trying to fix a leaking faucet without the owner’s manual

looking for a light switch in the dark

giving up the last piece of cake before having cut it

falling backwards blindfolded

running through a bed of flowers only after realizing the bed is filled with pollen and bees, but not caring; for you know the flower’s beauty is more important

loving people is believing in something outside myself, a power that is unfathomable, eternal, strength like no other, to reach a person through great acts of love exhibited in me

you see, being you-centered has nothing to do with me and everything to do with you.
