Finally.
Feelings of relief and satisfaction enfolded me.
Here goes nothing. One word then another swiftly appears across the stuffed envelope. Naivety and optimism are at the forefront of my thoughts. A sense of accomplishment flowed through me.
My vocal cords vibrated and my lungs gave way to produce the sweetest, soothing, calmest and all-encompassing name known to ever fall from my lips: Jesus.
Tucked away in a neatly signed and sealed envelope was my query letter to a top magazine. And though it was only a letter interest, everything in my felt strange: an odd kind of goodness, a goodness that moved me, a movement that lasted.
